BULLDOG CIVIC, PERFORMANCE & FITNESS ACTIVITIES
On this page are documented achievements in Civic Activities, Performance Activities and Fitness Activities that are part of the AKC Family Dog program, Do More With Your Dog program and canine-inclusive organizations’ programs that host obstacle course races. Civic Activities: test how the dog behaves, functions and serves needs within family and community settings (good manners, socialization skills, reaction to environmental stimuli, helping people) – Canine Good Citizenship, S.T.A.R. Puppy, Virtual Home Manners, Farm Dog Certification, Temperament Testing & Therapy Dog. Performance Activities: test fun, sporty displays of particular, trained skills with multiple levels that go beyond basic manners – Fetch, Trick Dog & Stunt Dog. Fitness Activities test ability to complete physical challenges that involve specified tasks – Fitness titles, Conditioning titles and long, cross-country runs/walks through obstacle courses designed for dogs and their human partners to negotiate together as a team.
